Service Description

Mental Health Resilience is crucial to maintaining your overall health and wellness. Psychological health and stress awareness practices are just as important to your long term wellbeing as healthy eating habits and regular physical exercise. Adopting and practicing regular Mental Health and Stress Management strategies to keep your mind healthy is just as important as care for the body. Individuals suffering from high stress levels, burnout and suicidal thoughts are at an all-time high in areas such as workplaces, schools, indigenous and First Nations communities, and among front line responders such as Fire Fighters, Nurses, Doctors and Paramedics. Training in Mental Health Resilience and Stress Management helps to reduce stigma associated with mental health crises and can reduce negative health outcomes for individuals by promoting positive conversations about wellness. With emphasis on establishing a connection with people in a compassionate non-judgmental manner, the training also helps to foster a positive work environment and culture of care in the workplace. This online course provides participants with the tools to develop a deeper understanding of the psychological effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief, as well as the positive effects of stress, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. Duration: Approximately 15 minutes to complete. Online course is self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. The duration will vary depending on the individual learner and their prior knowledge of the subject matter. Who should take this Course?
